Three Points of Contact Residency
Exchange Gallery - Penzance
2013
Three Points of Contact was a curatorial collaboration brought to life by Judit Bodor, Jenny Brownrigg, and Blair Todd. Stemming from a deep dive into the essence of nomadism, mobility, and dialogue in nurturing creative expression, the initiative set out as an experimental platform across various galleries of which I was involved at the Exchange Gallery site, Penzance.
The three-month residency unfolded in diverse locations: York (The New School House Gallery, 13–23 November 2012), Glasgow (The Glasgow School of Art, 3–14 December 2012), and Penzance (The Exchange, 15–26 January 2013). We were provided the space to delve into collaborative experiments, engage in dialogue, and interact with the public, fostering the germination of new ideas.
Supported by The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, this research initiative welcomed the Portuguese duo Von Calhau! to the UK, where they collaborated alongside us. It was a great experience for me, using the gallery as a studio space, working independently but also enjoying interacting, collaborating and sharing with fellow artists and visitors to the space.
